THE VIP DRUM CORPS STORY AS TOLD BY A MEMBER OF THE VIP ALUMNI

In the spring of 1965, when the word spread that a Drum Corps was starting on ‘The Hill”, youth from every part of the Washington Metropolitan area, and Baltimore, came to Southeast. Youth from existing Drum Corps, and youth, like myself, who had never marched a day before in my life met on “The Hill” over looking DC, Maryland and Virginia. We had youth before we had instructors.
